Medical Massage  /
Manual Lymphatic Drainage

-Medical Massage is result oriented and the treatment is specifically directed to resolve conditions that have been diagnosed and prescribed by a Physician. The massage therapist may use a variety of modalities or procedures during the treatment on the areas of the body related to the diagnosis and prescription.
-MLD, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, is a specialized type of medical massage performed by a qualified professional. It can help treat lymphedema, in which lymphatic fluid collects in certain areas of the body because it cannot drain away effectively on its own.
-We charge more for these services because of the additional paperwork and time that is involved with collaborating with your physician or other health care provider.

Pressure Point Massage

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point massages are best suited for people who have injuries, chronic pain, or a specific issue or condition. Sometimes areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points, can cause pain in other parts of the body. By focusing on relieving trigger points, this type of massage can reduce pain.
Trigger point massage uses broad, flowing strokes that are gentle and relaxing combined with stronger, deeper pressure. The massage will include work on your entire body. Your therapist will focus on specific areas of your body that need focus work.

Upper Back Massage

Deep Tissue  /  Sports Massage

-Deep tissue massage is a good option if you have chronic muscle problems, such as soreness, injury, or imbalance. It can help relieve tight muscles, chronic muscle pain, and anxiety.

During a deep tissue massage, your massage therapist will use slow strokes and deep pressure to relieve tension from the deepest layers of your muscles and connective tissues. It is important to communicate with your therapist if the pressure becomes painful.

-Sports massage is a good option if you have a repetitive use injury to a muscle, such as what you may get from playing a sport. It can be used to help prevent sports injuries. You may also use sports massage to increase flexibility and performance. Additionally, sports massage can relieve pain, anxiety, and muscle tension.

A sports massage can be done as a full-body massage or the massage therapist may focus on the parts of the body that need the most attention. Deep pressure may be alternated with soothing strokes depending on your needs.

Reflexology

Reflexology

This can be used in conjunction with other alternative therapies. It takes into account the whole person and helps activate each patient’s natural healing processes as well as restoring their physical and emotional well-being.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient healing therapy that some people use to ease pain. A provider places cups on your back, stomach, arms, legs or other parts of your body. Inside the cup, a vacuum or suction force pulls skin upward.

Suction from cupping draws fluid into the treated area. This suction force expands and breaks open tiny blood vessels (capillaries) under the skin. Your body treats the cupping area like an injury. It sends more blood to the area to stimulate the natural healing process. Some people theorize that cupping clears the pores and releases toxins.

Cupping is a form of traditional Chinese and Middle Eastern medicine. People have practiced cupping therapy for thousands of years.

People mostly use cupping to relieve conditions that cause pain. Some people say it also helps with chronic (ongoing) health issues. Cupping may ease symptoms of:

We use acrylic and silicone cups.

Your provider will leave the cups in place for several minutes. Some treatments involve briefly moving the cups to stretch and massage the area.

What should I expect after cupping?

The suction force from cupping breaks open tiny blood vessels under the skin. You will have round bruise-like marks that fade in a week or two.

Who shouldn’t get cupping?

Because researchers know little about cupping’s effects on pregnancy, moms-to-be shouldn’t get the therapy. You should also forego cupping if you have:
